National Day Run @ Tampines

Today is Sg 40th Birthday!! We had a celebration run @ Tampines Central.. My hubby and I reached Tampines Safra @ 1.45pm.. Most members from MF and TP side have arrived and gathered for the T Shirts at the main lobby.. Due to the limited sizes, I got a "XS" and Ong a "S".. hahaha luckily managed to squeeze in the small shirts...

We headed towards the starting point of the Run.. There was a big crowd and booths setup with games and even IPPT test system... The weather was very hot and really terrible to run at this hour.. we filled oursleves with loads of water... The Mayor flagged off at 3pm.. after 400m, the run ended for the Mayor group and the relay team headed towards the Padang.. as we were not allowed to followed suit, we turned to Bedok Reservoir and ran one loop around it.. we took a short water break at the toilet and ran up a slope and then into the reservior sand path.. this is my 1st time running inside the reservior.. there was no shade all the way and i was not used to the stone/sand part.. so i comfortably ran on the grass patch... hehehe... We stopped over for another water break at the other toilet and headed back to the club..
