Unbelievable HOT run

This sunday run was cancelled due to e Duathlon @ Marina n Pacesetter KL 15km. Dear n I had a wonderful long rest till 9am.. before dear says "its time to go for the run" everything was in slow motion n by the time we are ready in our gear.. it's already 1030am.. woah.. the sun was "remarkably sunny".. dear 1st proposed route was Jalan Kayu- seletar camp gate - U turn back.. 2nd route was all the way to the Upper Pierce reservoir Dam n back to Jalan Kayu (roti prata store).. I opt for the 1st one.. knowing i wun have the appetite to eat just after a run..

Initial part towards part from our house to Jalan Kayu was quite ok.. well shaded.. once we turn in to Jalan Kayu, we were hit by the strong glaring sun.. everything was so bare! we stopped for our 1st water stop at esso.. i din sweat much = lack of water.. knew i have to hydrate myself more to prevent heat stroke..

the run inside seletar camp was really terrible.. no shades at all.. n we were running with heavy trucks driving past us.. couple of times we have to shift in to the grass patch for satefy reasons.. could feel my skin burning under the sun block.. maybe the drivers were thinking how come 2 lunatics were running at 11.30am under such a hot sun on this kind of road..

throughout the route.. i complained to dear 3 times.. total 3 sentences.. not all the way hahaha! *protest protest* 1st at seletar camp entrance.. I'm dehydrating.. 2nd "Xia Shi Ren" cos got a shock when dear tried to warn me abt an oncoming truck at the never-ending seletar camp where my eyes could barely open.. as i was in full concentrate to get to the gate.. 3rd was at the gate.. the weather is terribly hot! dear encouraged me.. i will be a tougher person once i conquered this.. midway pass the expressway.. dear knew i could take it no more.. suggested we walk back.. we got another 2 bottles of H2O at Esso Cheers before heading back home.. phew* what a run!

Nimbus Maiden run...

Had my new nimbus on today.. maiden run to Botanic Garden-Farrer Rd- Maraget drive.. it was quite stiff as i had yet to season it.. when i reached the entrance of botanic.. i felt a blister growing at my right inner mid sole.. i tried to quicken my pace, following close behind julie n Michael.. i increased my pace further after the 2nd lake n led both of them up the steep slope followed by a down slope n all the way in to the resting pt where we met up some of the front runners... i quickly took off my shoe n tried to loosen my lock lace abit.. but it wasn't due to the laces.. the width was slightly tight for my right foot.. the blister was getting bigger.. when i tried to continue my run along farrer road, my leg gave way n i stopped at the bus stop n took off my socks.. PS n Alber stopped n asked if i was alright.. PS helped me to get 2 plasters from a PreSchool.. thanks alot! n slowly both of them companied me back all the way back to club..
